Step aboard the superbly appointed narrowboat, Trincomalee II for an unforgettable holiday cruising the beautiful River Wey.
No increase on 2009 prices!
As featured on BBC Radio 4's Excess Baggage!
Your Cruise will be “accompanied and catered” by your hosts Euan and Joanna, an experienced boating couple, allowing you to relax and enjoy the Wey Navigation with the minimum of responsibility.
Of course, you may participate as much as you wish, whether it be at locks, steering the boat, or just doing the washing up!
Your privacy is paramount and at the end of each day on a 2 or 4 day cruise, Euan and Joanna will leave you with your pre-prepared meal and depart, returning the following morning at a civilised time.

Accommodation: Custom built in 2000, Trincomalee II is 56 feet in length and provides all home comforts. Although it is to be hoped that most meals can be taken on the towpath or foredeck, there is ample space in the main cabin for six to sit and eat.
A most comfortable bunk cabin with two permanent 6 foot bunks and the main cabin with a permanent double bunk (6’6”) provide the sleeping accommodation. Adjacent to both sleeping cabins is the bathroom with toilet, washbasin and a sit bath/shower.
The main cabin is equipped with free standing furniture, colour television, music centre and a coal burning fire. Trincomalee II is carpeted throughout. The spacious forward deck also has a removable cover.

Excess Baggage: Broadcaster and writer Sandi Toksvig spent a few idyllic hours cruising along the Godalming Navigation from Farncombe Boat House aboard the Narrowboat Trincomalee II in the company of owners Euan and Joanna Houstoun and accompanied by Brian Roberts, the former regional chair of the Inland Waterways Association, together with Steve Haywood a television producer and canal writer.
Toksvig's observations and conversations with her guests were broadcast on the 16th August 2008 on the BBC's Radio 4 as a half-hour programme in the Excess Baggage series.
The programme can be listened to online here.
Itineraries: For the 1 and 2 day trips you will be guided on a fascinating voyage up the River Wey Navigation, first commercial Inland Waterway in England.
For the longer 3 or 4 day trips, the boat will also travel up the River Thames and back. You will gain first hand experience of the wonderful flora and fauna, fascinating wildlife and the history of the Navigation's as well as the challenges of conservation.
